Arsenal built on their excellent performance against Chelsea on Saturday with another brilliant display of attacking fluidity and intent against Basel in the Champions League.

To produce yet another dominant display so soon after the game against Chelsea was crucial for the development of this side.

Arsenal produced a wonderful display on Saturday to completely dominate Chelsea from start to finish and register a first league victory over their West London rivals since October 2011.

Arsenal produced quite possibly their best performance of the season so far as they defeated 10 man Hull City with ease.

The Gunners attacking play was at its free flowing best as utilising Alexis Sanchez as the lone striker finally paid off.

PSG 1-1 Arsenal 

In keeping with the start to their season so far, Arsenal yet again produced a lacklustre display but once again got away with it, this time against PSG in the opening game of their Champions League campaign.

In each of the last two seasons the Gunners had suffered opening game defeats and going up against the most difficult side in the group, away from home, it would have been reasonable to presume that Arsene Wenger would elect for a more pragmatic approach than his usual attacking philosophy.

Arsenal secured a vital three points on Saturday thanks to a last minute penalty from Santi Cazorla which should not be used in any way shape or form to disguise an otherwise average performance.

Arsene Wenger decided to deviate from his normal approach to introducing new signings to the Premier League, by starting both his new additions, Mustafi and Peres. Unfortunately both struggled to come to terms with the pace and ferocity of the Premier League and as a result produced fairly average performances in keeping with that of the whole team.
